Last week was fun. Or should that be 'FFun'? Maybe not.
The route from Zurich to St Moritz, via the Julier Pass, is one that engenders a sense of excitement and anticipation. As each hairpin unwinds, a fresh vista unfolds before the driver, ever colder and more snow–covered.
If the view ahead includes a longish bonnet with a few cubes under it (383ci, to be precise), that's a bonus. This week's headlining video feature on taking two similarly named, almost identical capacity, all–wheel–drive cars into the Engadin Valley in the heart of winter entailed a lot of time behind the wheel (great) and careful organisation by the Classic Driver production team.
So, I hope you enjoy our piece on what it's like to drive two quintessentially 'St Moritz' cars back to back.
They might be separated in age by 40 years, while the gulf in performance could be measured in millennia but, on the scale of coolness and rarity, they are closer than you might think.
